About Cumberland County, New Jersey
It takes around two hours to drive to New York City and Baltimore from Cumberland County, whereas it only takes forty-five minutes to get to Philadelphia and Atlantic City from there. The county’s location along Delaware Bay gives it a pivotal position in the Northeast corridor. Philadelphia is not the only city that has a legitimate claim to being the cradle of liberty; other cities share this distinction as well. It is obvious that the residents of Cumberland County shared the same viewpoint because they were responsible for the destruction of a shipment of tea in 1774.
On the evening of Thursday, December 22, 1774, approximately forty young Whigs costumed as Indians broke into the cellar of Bowen’s house. They took possession of the entire shipment, transported the tea crates from the basement to an open field nearby, and then simultaneously set fire to the entire stack of crates at the same time. Cumberland County was established in January 1748 and is situated in the midst of the southern portion of New Jersey. It has around 40 miles of Delaware Bay shoreline and dates back to its founding.
The expansion of the economy in Cumberland County was considerably aided by a number of different industries, including the glass industry, the food processing business, the textile industry, and maritime commerce. As early as the 19th century, New Jersey was already one of the top four oyster-producing states in the country. In the late 1800s, there were over 300 oyster boats operating in Delaware Bay, which provided employment for over 1,500 people.

Although you might believe that until you are actually arrested, you don’t need legal representation, nothing could be further from the truth. If you have a skilled criminal defense lawyer on your side, they can launch an independent investigation even if you are only a suspect or person of interest in a criminal inquiry. In rare circumstances, it can be possible to find evidence that disqualifies you from the scope of the police inquiry.
When you hear that you are the subject of an arrest warrant, get in touch with our criminal defense lawyers right away. This will enable us to start looking into your case on our own and gather information for your defense. In order to reduce the risk of harm or shame from being arrested at your home, place of employment, or in public, we can also contact the police to organize your surrender.
