31 Arrested in NJ “Operation Forefathers” Drug Bust
Authorities in New Jersey conducting a routine traffic stop uncovered a massive 430 doses of heroin and 43 baggies of marijuana hidden inside the vehicle. A separate drug bust in the week uncovered about 20 kilograms of drugs hidden inside onion boxes.
Drug Bust in New Jersey Leads to 31 Arrests
The two busts have resulted in at least 31 arrests. 27 of these arrests occurred as police executed various search warrants in homes across South Jersey. On September 11, police served the warrants as part of “Operation Forefathers.” The operation was specifically targeting dealers of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and prescription pills in the area. The investigation revealed several drug trafficking ring leaders including Isiah Fitzpatrick, Tracey Kluska, Harold Santiago and George Williams. They are all suspected of possessing these drugs with the intent to distribute. Overall, the drugs seized included six ounces of methamphetamine, two ounces of raw heroin, 6,540 bags of heroin and several pounds of marijuana. Along with the illegal drugs, police seized nearly $30,000, 13 vehicles and three firearms. The drugs police found hidden within the onion boxes alone had a street value well over $1 million.
